La Chope ou l’Ecailler de Tours est une de ces institutions début de siècle qu’on se félicite de fréquenter. La déco art nouveau associée au service de grande brasserie en font un modèle du genre. Si la maison fait la part belle à la mer comme son nom ne l’indique pas, on pourra se régaler aussi d’un carré de cochon de lait rôti aux morilles, d’un rognon de veau poêlé ou encore d’un magret de canard en tournedos et foie gras. Always a pleasure to eat in this culinary institution which dates back to the beginning of the last century. A Parisian style brasserie in an art nouveau inspired setting. Seafood and fish are dominant in the menu but why not indulge in roasted suckling pig with morel mushrooms or panfried veal kidneys or duck breast or foie gras! La Chope is respected as the point of reference for all brasseries in Tours.
